About the 2018 BEGINNING ACTING CLASS

The 2018 winter beginning acting class got underway on January 9th. The popular class filled quickly with 16 eager students and several more on a waiting list. Participants are learning the importance of physicalization to the acting process. In-class units include dealing with tension, pantomiming, conveying emotion, analyzing text, making sense of nonsense scenes, and rediscovering imagination. Each student will be given a monologue to perform during the final class session. Students will be able to invite family members and friends to serve as their audience at that time. Hopefully, we will see some of these new thespians on stage at LBP in the near future.

Students attending the class are (first row l to r) Harry Stephens, Bethany Nightingale, Judy Nuetzel, and Jackie Hitchcock. In the second row (l to r) are Martin Feit, Shelia Nichols, Paul Quinn, Jana Brownlee, Hanna Johnson, and Kim DesJardins. In row three (l to R) are Joseph Carignan, Ric Goodwin (Instructor), Richard Gamble, and Linda Hayes
