Scene Study for Auditions and Performances

$180 – nine week class – Saturdays, May 4 to June 29, 2024; 10am – 12 pm

The Scene Study class is for all levels of acting experience. Each session will delve into how to approach audition scenes and how to explore a role once you are cast. Through Scene work with a partner we will analyze various acting “tricks” to help you grow as a performer.

Find the Funny

$60 – three week class – Saturdays, May 25, June 1 and June 8; 10am – 12 pm

Instructor – Gina Scarda

This class will look into the funny written word and how to bring it to stage. Gina Scarda will show how to find the funny in scripts and monologues. She will also introduce how to use life to start a stand-up comedy routine.

Instructor – Steve Black

Whether you are new to acting or want to improve your skills as an actor, Steve Black will   dive into both.  This class will look into what it takes to bring your character to life on stage!

Past Kid Classes

INTRO TO ACTING and THEATRE: GRADES 5 to 8

The focus will be on just teaching skills that you need to have in theatre. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!! We will teach you the workings of a theatre, what goes into a production, and begin to explore the skills that an actor needs on stage. This class is a great start for those that may have already been in a camp show or even those that have never experienced theatre. Henry Reisinger, Jr. will teach the skills actors should have on stage, as well as introduce the screen side of acting. Pam Hayes will dive into the technical pieces of theatre that include directing, lights and tech. We will also have other instructors to share their knowledge of the stage.
