Effective Immediately All Shows Are Cancelled Until June 3, 2020March 17, 2020 Update
March 17, 2020
Dear LBP Patrons,
The health and safety of our patrons, volunteers and community members are very important to us and we continue to monitor the developments concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19) spread.
Currently, the CDC recommends that for the next eight weeks events of 10 people or more be postponed or cancelled. At this point we want to insure the safety of our patrons and volunteers.
Therefore, effective immediately, we decided that the remaining performances of Lend Me A Tenor and all performances of The Prisoner of Second Avenue will be cancelled. This also includes our Showcase Productions, Alana Opie and the Lemon Bay Comedy Festival. The last production of our season, The Savanah Sipping Society, will be presented as planned and starts June 3, 2020.
LBP is a small, non-profit, community theater which thrives in Englewood due to our valued patrons. The financial impact of these cancellations is estimated at approximately 24% of our gross income. We are asking you to consider donating any tickets for cancelled performances back to the theater. This will limit the financial impact to the theater and ensure availability of live theater in Englewood continues.
We will honor all obligations and process refunds if desired. No credits for next season will be offered as our goal is to keep the financial impact to the current season. You may contact the box office by phoning 941-475-6756 or by email at email@example.com. Please understand our volunteer staff is limited and your patience is appreciated.
Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe and we hope to see you in the near future.
